Kalyani 2

Today, had a heart to heart with Kalyani. I took a chance and asked about that disappointment in her eyes when she met me in Bangalore after my marriage. She said nothing, first. Then she opened her mind.

She is a Libra like Atchaya. So indecisiveness is in her blood. So, she really liked me. Even thought of taking the relationship further. But she was afraid to ask her parents. Reasons are like I am not Telugu and I am not Brahmin. She didn't ask her parents and still assumed that they won't agree. Her sister Keerthi also knew about this. She used to tease me in Facebook. I was too dumb to understand.

Then my first marriage alliance was set up and then broken. Her sister took the initiative and asked her parents generally about marrying someone out of their caste. They were open to it for Kalyani. They were understanding that Kalyani is educated and having a job. They were willing to accept her choices than imposing their wishes on her. This was a shock to her.

Before she could come to me with this, my marriage with Reshma had already been committed. She decided to forget about it blaming herself for lacking courage to ask her parents before assuming their response.

I laughed about this and reminded her of another friend of ours. Naresh. He was completely in love with a Marathi Brahmin girl. That girl also liked him and they spent a lot of time together. He, again assumed that her parents won't agree and never proposed her. In actuality, her parents were very forward and they would have agreed and given their blessings. He came to know about it later, as a shock I might add, when another guy proposed to her and they got married. That guy was North Indian and Muslim. He knew that if that guy did have a chance, even he himself had. He lost that girl just because he lacked the courage just to propose. If she rejected or her parents rejected would be secondary. He could have been happy that he tried and lost. Now he lost just due to lack of trying. This was before my marriage.

So, she could have learned from Naresh. And this was her own parents. What would have gone wrong at max? They will say no.

Anyway, it's too late for her with me. I only love one person. If she is looking for love and shit, she is looking at the wrong person.🤣😂
